SOE Admin Panel

August 19, 2011

John Willis over at SOE sent me one of his Admin Panels in Coyote to review and I would like to take a second to thank John for supporting Gear Whore Reviews and sending us gear to review. Now like most admin pouches on the market this admin panel has a nice field of loop for attaching patches and insignia. That is where the similarities of this pouch end. A lot of admin pouches that have come onto the market recently have been rather large while this admin panel from SOE was designed to be small and low profile. Perfect for placement on the center of a plate carrier or chest rig.

The main pocket is covered by a flap, there are 3 sewn elastic slots for tools, knives, chem lights and pens. The main slot is big enough to hold a smart phone, keys a notepad and folded paperwork.  There is also a D ring sewn inside the pocket to help retain whatever you keep inside the pocket. There is also a flashlight pouch that will hold small to medium sized flashlights. You can also fit a couple single stack 1911 mags inside though assuming you are placing this pouch in the center of your torso it isn’t a ideal position to be reloading from.

Fully loaded the pouch’s width doesn’t exceed more than 5 inches. So it stays nice and low profile.

This pouch attaches with 4 long Tactical Tailor MALICE clips. MALICE clips are the only attachment system I recommend using on any pouch that lacks a built in attachment system.

This pouch is perfect  for a low profile basic admin pouch, it enables you to  carry your essential admin gear. This pouch is constructed from 1000D cordura which SOE uses in all its products. Everything is top quality and it’s what you would expect from a product bearing the SOE name. These pouches cost 45$ for Coyote,Khaki,Black,Olive, and Foliage and 55$ for ACU and Multicam. You can buy yours directly from SOE.(Link below)
